Wolf Envelope

making envelopes

Hired by the former president of an envelope company, Hugh Mahler, who asked me to make images of the plant in Angola, Indiana and of their corporate offices in Troy, Michigan. The images were used primarily to aid in selling Wolf’s services, and as wall decor in the sales office in Troy. Several large panoramic images were produced, the largest one, 96″ x 24″, hung over the sales conference area. Large framed prints were made for each of the private offices, and panoramic canvas wraps were produced for the common areas as well. I also shot environmental portraits of Hugh and his marketing staff at the offices in Troy.

Wolf Envelope, Troy MI

Another assignment included making quick headshots of the entire staff in Troy, as well as a group shot. The company has since been sold.

Jim and I have known each other for many years on a social basis and I have always admired his beautiful and artistic approach in capturing nature in a photograph.

As an owner of a graphic arts and paper converting business, I asked Jim if he would consider using his artistic perspective in portraying the story of the melding of paper, machinery and ink in picture form for our promotion.

Fortunately Jim had a creative career in the advertising so he understood the complexities of our business and how it needed to be conveyed in an interesting and authentic way.

His dedication to the assignment and his ability to grasp what was needed resulted in an extremely professional and artistic presentation…A+ as a result.
