Fine Art Photographs

If you’d like to see what I’ve been up to the past year, new work is always posted in the galleries. This year, I spent time in the Southwest shooting the Green River, Mesa Verde and Hovenweep, and made images in and around the Black Hills.

For the real deal, come visit me at your local show. Schedule, below…

The Artistic Process

Find out more about my shooting style, my hand-made custom frames, and how each piece is crafted from scratch. Starting with reclaimed barnwood, the process takes time. From washing the old wood, to milling it to my exact specifications, it’s a lot of fun, but it’s also a lot of work. Details here…

Books

No wall space, but you love the work? I’ve published several limited edition books that highlight the best images from my series “A Disappearing Landscape” and “Stories Told In Things Left Behind”.  I can also help you publish your own work. Check out “Telling Your Story” for more…

Telling Your Story

You need images. You need stories. With nearly forty years of experience in photography, design and branding, I can help you tell your story. Whether you’re looking for a hero photograph for your office, or an entire branding experience, we can work together to achieve your goals.

Do You Have a Story to Tell?

Everyone has a story to tell. But sometimes it’s hard to choose just the right words, or to find the right picture to illustrate your point. With almost forty years of experience in helping others, I can design your personal branding experience with you.

Corporate Photography

There’s always a story to tell, and sometimes you need a little boost to visualize it. From environmental portraits to images of your workplace, I can work with you to get the  shots you need.

Portraits & Weddings

If you have a special event coming up, I can help you capture the day in pictures. From portraits to personal branding, if you need a new image, I have the experience to photograph it. Read more…

Studio Design

Whether you need words or pictures, or both, one of my specialities is shooting small still lifes with studio lights. From product photography to food styling, let’s team up and tell YOUR story. Words, pictures or both.

A Look Inside the Photographer’s Studio

You might enjoy this short video on my photographic process. A look back at my humble beginnings, and a glimpse into my studio will give you a greater appreciation for the work that goes into making a good photograph.

Setting the Schedule

Getting into shows is much more involved than most people think. We, as artists, apply yearly to most of the shows we do. After filling out an application with images of current work (mostly online these days), and paying a application fee, a jury looks over our work and passes judgement as to whether or not we get to come back again this year.

Once we’ve been accepted, we pay a booth fee for the space at the show. If we’re lucky, the show staff is helpful, friendly and cares about the artists. Everything else we bring with us — the tents, the display panels, the bins, and most importantly, the work.

This year, the COVID-19 virus has thrown a monkey wrench in every artist’s show schedule. Check back often to get the latest updates on where I’ll be showing my work in person.

So when you see me at the next show you attend, say hi, and stop in for an eyeful of this year’s fantastic new work. When you can’t get to a show, know that you can always come to my virtual show, online!
